About The Trust

The Lower Nehalem Community Trust is one of over 1,700 land trusts nationwide involved in conserving lands for their natural, recreational, scenic, historical and productive values. These private, non-profit organizations work cooperatively with local landowners, communities and governmental agencies, using a variety of methods to protect lands.  

The Nehalem Trust is a member of the Land Trust Alliance, a national organization that provides leadership and resources to its members. The Trust follows the Alliance's Standards and Practices which help ensure that land trusts operate legally and ethically. They provide a firm foundation for Trust operations.
