Bayside Wetlands Conservation

History

The Lower Nehalem Community Trust, recognizing the additional high value wild life habitat along the north edge of the Nehalem bay that is in private hands and under the threat of development, submitted a second round of grant proposals to U.S. Fish and Wildlife and the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.  The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Coastal Wetlands grant proposal was approved and OWEB has asked the Trust to begin the due diligence process that needs to be completed before they can give us approval of their grant.
