Vosburg Creek This

parcel
of land is located on the South-west edge of the
City of Wheeler. It extends from its northern
boundary of Highway 101 south 1,600 feet, and from
Dubois Street west 210 feet.History The Vosburg Creek area has been and is now a forested wetlands area. 1939 aerial photos show that it once contained a baseball playing field. Vosburg Creek supports coho, chinook and chum salmon. The property was used for a chum hatchery until about 1990. It was donated to the Lower Nehalem Community Trust in 2005. Restoration has been focused on the removal of hatchery infrastructure, invasive plants removal, restoration of conifers and placement of large wood in the stream. Current Use The
Trust maintains two buildings and a trail for
