Last fall stewardship volunteers planted native trees and shrubs at LNCT’s Tohl Meadows property, on Tohl Avenue, in Nehalem.
Now those plants need mulch. Why? It’s getting drier and hotter. Mulch will retain moisture and help moderate soil temperatures. Mulch also enhances soil fertility and reduces weed competition which allows the trees to grow faster.
Let’s support these new native plants by mulching around them this Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 at Tohl Meadows. (
