LNCT’s Earth Day Adopt-A-Highway Litter Cleanup

April 22, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Please join us on Earth Day, April 22, for LNCT’s inaugural litter cleanup! What a great way to celebrate!

When:  April 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.

Where: Intersection of Highway 101 and Hemlock Street. (Park anywhere on Wheeler streets where there is not a ‘No Parking’ sign)

We will pick up litter along Highway 101, starting in Wheeler, and working our way north toward the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 53. Trash on these road shoulders washes into Zimmerman and Botts Marshes, both of which are wetlands protected and stewarded by LNCT, so this cleanup is also stewardship for LNCT’s lands. Further north, the roadside litter washes into McCoy Marsh, which in turn washes into Botts Marsh.

We will enforce Covid-19 protections to keep our volunteers safe. So please bring a mask sufficient to protect against transmission of Covid-19, and be prepared to stay safely separate from other volunteers who are not in your household. If you don’t have a mask, or forget, we will have some for volunteers.

Please register, so that we can adequately prepare for this LNCT Earth Day event!
