Bring your lunch and come with us for a midday walk down LNCT's Headwaters trail. We will meet at the south Neahkahnie trailhead and walk downhill, past a few stunning views of the bay and beach, to a benched area. We will be joined by Doug Firstbrook, LNCT founding member and expert on the Headwaters land area.

Join Bird Alliance of Oregon and Heart of CARTM to clean up Snowy Plover nesting habitat while learning about this threatened shorebird and the impacts of marine debris. Marine debris and litter can attract predators to their nesting habitat, and some materials can entangle Snowy Plovers and other wildlife. Removing waste before plovers begin to nest will create safer nesting habitat. Bring your binoculars to hopefully observe Snowy Plovers and other birds!
We're hosting a marine debris cleanup party! On March 8th, you're invited to Alder Creek Farm to join our cleaning station, where we will prepare marine debris to be used in marine debris art & ecology workshops. Our friends with Oregon Shores and Heart of CARTM will spend the morning removing debris from Nehalem Spit's Snowy Plover habitat. We're looking for volunteers to help clean the debris in support of their efforts!
