Cedar trees planted years ago on the banks of Alder Creek have grown to the edge of their protective cages allowing beavers to chew away at the bark. The trees need larger cages and we need your help installing them. You’ll enjoy this location. It is one of my favorite places to be on
Alder Creek Farm. It’s under the towering canopy of cedar and spruce trees, next to Alder Creek with the sound of water flowing over a beaver dam.
Meet
here at Alder Creek Farm from 10-12 on Friday, April 15. You can park on the grassy meadow across from the house. It’s a short hike so bring sturdy shoes and water.
🌿Also bring a bag to bring home a potted rhubarb plant. The LNCT Community Garden is offering them to stewardship volunteers for all your efforts on the land.
