We’ll visit the native plant nursery managed by the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde’s Natural Resources Department. The nursery is located on the land of the Grand Ronde east of Pacific City (about 1.5 hour drive from Nehalem). We’ll get a “behind-the-scenes” look at Tribal efforts to promote both habitat restoration and Traditional Ecological Knowledge. Nursery manager Jeremy Ojua will lead this tour of the nursery grounds and explain the ecology and cultural significance of the plants growing there. This will be followed by a guided tour of the Chachalu Museum and Cultural Center at 2pm.
