STEWARDSHIP-THURSDAY EVENT-NATIVE PLANT WALK IN TILLAMOOK

June 23, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Join the Trailkeepers of Oregon and Tillamook Estuaries Partnership to learn about native plants while volunteering on the trail and in the nursery.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO ATTEND    PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH, WATER & WORK GLOVES (LOANER GLOVES AVAILABLE)  STURDY SHOES AND APPROPRIATE CLOTHING FOR WEATHER

We will be accompanied by a native plant expert at Anderson Hill Interpretive Trail to learn about many of the plant species we will see and tend to along the trail.  Following a morning interpretive hike and some light trail maintenance, we will have lunch and then head to the nearby Tillamook Estuaries Partnership nursery to care for seedlings that are used to help restore coastal prairie habitat.  These plants will increase the area of existing strongholds and provide pollinator species to the critically endangered Oregon Silverspot Butterfly.
