STEWARDSHIP – HEADWATERS – PROTECT OUR NATIVE PLANTS AND REMOVE INVASIVES

June 10, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

When: June 3, 10 and 17
Where: Headwaters property – Oregon Coast Trail trailhead at Nehalem Road and Hwy. 101.
What: We will hike part of the Oregon Coast Trail and enjoy the wildflowers, while removing the highly invasive Scotch Broom. We will also revisit plantings we did last year, to clean up and maintain the enclosures.

Wear sturdy shoes, bring water and a snack, and be ready to enjoy the camaraderie of your neighbors and friends. If you have a favorite pair of gloves and/or a favorite pair of hand clippers or loppers, bring them along. Otherwise we will have tools and gloves available for you.

Please check back here in our Events calendar in case our starting point changes. We anticipate starting at the Oregon Coast Trail trailhead, at the intersection of Nehalem Road and Hwy. 101, just north of the Manzanita turnoffs. But as work progresses we may meet at a location further north.

We look forward to seeing you on the land!!
